Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology

Inova Cardiology is seeking a full-time Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in a physician practice setting. This role focuses on cardiology outpatient operations and works Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient cardiology clinic at 611 S Carlin Springs Rd, Suite 201, Arlington, VA 22204. This is a non-acute care environment where you will deliver safe, therapeutic, and holistic patient care while incorporating patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Perform full patient intakes
• Reconcile medications
• Provide patient education
• Conduct stress testing, including regular, echo, and nuclear stress tests
• Provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way
• Incorporate patient and family differences into care provision while integrating knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet patient and family needs
• Use an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes
• Incorporate data and information to improve care and enhance outcomes
• Provide direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor
• Ensure efficiency in care delivery by determining immediate priorities and offering solutions for problems
• Work with the team to achieve maximum productivity
• Make independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing. If you hold an Associate's Degree (ADN), you must complete a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of your start date.
• RN license or eligibility to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Zero years of registered nurse clinical experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Greater than one year of RN experience
• Prior cardiology nursing background such as experience in IMCU, PCU, Telemetry, or CVICU
