St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for our OBGYN outpatient office located at 400 Patroon Creek Boulevard in Albany, NY. This is a busy office setting where you will administer nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Professional, assisting with treatments and procedures while maintaining established nursing standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Take accurate vital signs consistently
- Collect routine patient data per protocols and as directed by the clinical supervisor
- Recognize high-risk situations and report them appropriately
- Confer with the clinical supervisor routinely concerning the plan of care
- Make suggestions regarding referrals to other disciplines
- Fulfill protocols and clinical guidelines in establishing workflow priorities
- Demonstrate acceptable technical skills in providing care
- Follow standards of care, established protocols, and clinical guidelines
- Follow infection control policies in administering care
- Provide patient care in consideration of age-related requirements
- Reinforce patient and family teaching
- Administer medications safely in accordance with unit policies and procedures
- Accurately transcribe physician orders
- Demonstrate working knowledge of computer skills relevant to the care area
- Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with assignments
- Function as a team member in carrying out assignments
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
- Full-time employment
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York
- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
Compensation
- Pay range: $23.85 to $29.95 per hour
- Pay is based on experience, skills, and education
