Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Gastroenterology

Inova Gastroenterology is seeking a full-time Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in a gastroenterology clinical setting. This is a Monday through Friday day position, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN
• Maintain and review patient medical records, notes, and physician orders
• Document all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards
• Participate on unit teams, work groups, and committees
• Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• No prior experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant
