Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 - OBGYN

Inova OBGYN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 to join our outpatient team. This full-time position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing direct patient care in a women's health setting.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient OBGYN clinic located at 4660 Kenmore Ave Suite 710, Alexandria, VA 22304. Inova is consistently ranked as a national healthcare leader in safety, quality, and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals for patient chronic care conditions and follow-up care as indicated by the initial care plan of the specialist and/or primary care physician
• Administer prescribed oral and intramuscular medications, therapies, and treatments following practical nursing standards and under the direct supervision of the physician
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Support healthcare team members in achieving team goals and assign appropriate tasks to care assistants
• Maintain and review patient medical records, notes, and physician orders
• Document all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards and legal requirements for medical facilities

Required Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of nursing practice in a hospital or clinic setting
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
