Operating Room Technician - Day shift, 40 Hours

The Operating Room and Anesthesia Technician works as an integral part of the healthcare team in the operating room, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. You will work in conjunction with Anesthesiology, Nursing, and Surgery to provide necessary support during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all anesthesia and operating room equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Set up and turn over operating rooms between cases
• Transport patients and specimens
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory in collaboration with materials management
• Position patients and provide limb support during surgical preparation
• Assist with intubation and extubation processes
• Participate in the evaluation of new anesthesia products, equipment, and supplies as requested
• Assist nursing staff with patient care tasks including turning and moving anesthetized patients
• Handle infectious waste and sharps according to established procedures
• Maintain order and cleanliness in restricted areas
• Prioritize patient care tasks and communicate effectively with healthcare team members

Schedule

• Day shift, 40 hours per week

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $21.00 - $31.20
• Actual compensation is determined based on factors including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, and other applicable factors permissible by law
• Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices as applicable
