Operating Room Support Specialist, VNS Therapy- Part Time (Omaha, NE)

LivaNova is seeking an Operating Room Support Specialist to provide surgical case coverage during Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) Therapy System implantation procedures. In this field-based role, you will work in operating rooms at hospital facilities throughout the Omaha, NE territory, collaborating with neurosurgeons, epileptologists, and nursing staff to support patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.

As an Operating Room Support Specialist, you will become a highly trained subject matter expert responsible for providing intraoperative support during VNS Therapy System implantation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide surgical case coverage in the operating room during VNS Therapy System implantation procedures
• Support operating room staff with product-related matters, including VNS diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming assistance
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team regarding device operation and patient care
• Understand the implantation, operating room, and credentialing processes
• Develop knowledge of local hospitals and their specific requirements
• Maintain compliance with hospital credentialing and access requirements

Training on the Vagus Nerve Stimulator will be provided at the LivaNova corporate office in Houston, along with procedural training as needed. Prior knowledge of the VNS Therapy System is not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time position working no more than 29 hours per week. You must be available to work with short notice, typically 1-2 days. Travel requirements are limited with the potential for occasional overnight stays.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or clinical technical/operating room environment experience
• Ability to project a positive image
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and nonverbal communication skills for the operating room environment
• All required immunizations for healthcare employment as mandated by hospital credentialing requirements
• Residence within the Omaha, NE territory

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is approximately $60 per hour. Pay ranges may vary by location.

This is a field-based position requiring regular visits to hospital facilities. Compliance with hospital credentialing and access requirements, including any necessary immunizations for healthcare employment, is mandatory.
