The opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Operating Room in Framingham, Massachusetts. This full-time position provides direct clinical patient care in a surgical setting, where you will assess, plan, and implement care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis. You will coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care while supporting optimal patient outcomes at discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical patient care to assigned patients
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement nursing care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
  • Coordinate and integrate patient care within the prescribed medical regime
  • Supervise delegated staff and ensure appropriate care delivery
  • Support the Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
  • Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care
  • Fulfill all Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters
  • Know and adhere to the hospital's emergency codes, including their purpose and appropriate actions
  • Perform related duties as required

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by state law, regulation, or hospital policy
  • Current CPR certification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing
