Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time - Day Shift

Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team on a full-time day shift basis. This position is open until filled and offers three career progression levels with corresponding compensation and responsibility levels.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the Operating Room environment, providing nursing care in a surgical setting.

Position Levels and Responsibilities

RN 1 (Entry Level)

The RN 1 provides basic nursing care in predictable situations to a limited number of patients under direct supervision. This level is designed for new graduates or nurses returning to practice after a prolonged absence. Practice is guided by established rules, competencies, and organizational policies. Staff at this level are growing in skills and independence.

RN 2 (Intermediate)

The RN 2 independently plans and implements nursing care using standards and knowledge gained through education and experience. RN 2 nurses require minimal supervision and begin assuming leadership responsibilities.

RN 3 (Advanced)

The RN 3 independently plans and implements nursing care using standards and knowledge gained through education and experience. RN 3 nurses require little-to-no supervision and assume leadership responsibilities. RN 3s have mastered the varied competencies of clinical nursing and maintain competency in at least one primary float area.

Compensation

• RN 1: $43.78 per hour
• RN 2: $46.51 per hour
• RN 3: $48.84 per hour

Internal hires will have step placement and rate of pay determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms. External hires will have step placement and rate of pay determined based on relevant experience.

Required Qualifications

All Levels:

• Current State of Alaska Nursing License
• Negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to start of employment
• SOA Background Check
• Employee Health clearance
• Healthstream Training completion

RN 1:

• No specific experience required
• No certifications required

RN 2:

• One year of current experience in nursing care
• BLS certification

RN 3:

• Three years of current experience in nursing care
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

RN 1:

• Previous healthcare experience

RN 2:

• Previous healthcare experience
• Substitution accepted: Six months of nursing experience at Bartlett Regional Hospital

RN 3:

• Previous experience in designated care area
