Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Los Robles Surgery Center in Thousand Oaks, California is seeking an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the operating room during the designated shift. This role is part of a top-performing ambulatory surgery center that performs over 500 procedures monthly, offering services in gastroenterology, ENT, gynecology, orthopedics, plastics, and podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
• Support facility efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
• Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
• Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
• ACLS as required by facility

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification

Compensation

• Hourly wage estimate: $49.10 - $69.83 per hour

The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
