Operating Room Assistant - 1.0 FTE Day

Join Providence St. Vincent Medical Center as an Operating Room Assistant in a full-time, day shift position. You will function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of the registered perioperative nurse, supporting the operating room function and surgical team operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the anesthesia provider during surgical procedures
• Clean and prepare operating rooms between cases
• Safely transport patients to and from the operating room
• Retrieve and decontaminate surgical equipment
• Stock general supplies in operating rooms and work areas
• Process, maintain, and organize equipment, supplies, and instruments
• Support other perioperative operations as needed

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Full-time position (1.0 FTE)
• Holiday on-call rotation required. On-call assignments will be scheduled based on departmental needs and operational requirements. Participation in the holiday on-call rotation is a condition of employment.

Required Qualifications

• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
• One year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Anesthesia experience
