Brookhaven Hospice is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate end-of-life care to hospice patients and their families. In this role, you will respond to patient needs ranging from urgent to routine, conduct comprehensive assessments, maintain detailed documentation, and support families through the terminal illness journey.
Responsibilities
- Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine situations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Provide education, guidance, and support to families caring for terminally ill loved ones
- Coordinate patient care and identify preventative measures
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum one year of experience as an RN in a medical surgical or acute care setting
- Computer proficiency including typing and various programs with EMR background
- Current CPR certification if required by state
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care
- Hospice experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 - $97,000 per year (based on relevant experience and specific responsibilities)
