The opportunity

Job Description

Join our OB/GYN team at Dimock Center in Roxbury, MA, serving a diverse urban community. We are seeking a Physician (MD/DO) or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, preventive, reproductive, and gynecologic care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health clinicians, and resource case managers.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an integrated care environment focused on women's health, health equity, and preventive care. The program welcomes providers interested in quality improvement, community initiatives, and professional growth opportunities in clinical leadership, program development, and education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, preventive, reproductive, and gynecologic care as appropriate to your role
  • Review laboratory, imaging, pathology, and other diagnostic results and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Coordinate referrals, hospital follow-up, and transitions of care
  • Participate in shared telephone triage support and after-hours coverage with a nurse triage service layer
  • Participate in quality improvement, population health, research, grant, and community-based initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes and access to care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Support a culture of professionalism, teamwork, continuous learning, and patient-centered care

Physician-Specific Responsibilities

  • May participate in hospital-based OB/GYN coverage and the physician call rotation as outlined in the employment agreement
  • Provide physician-level management of obstetric emergencies and complex clinical situations
  • Provide physician consultation and escalation support to other clinical providers
  • Participate in hospital-based deliveries, procedures, admissions, consultations, and other responsibilities consistent with hospital privileges. Specific call frequency, location, response expectations, and responsibilities will be defined by the department and employment agreement.

Schedule

  • Full-time onsite position
  • 80% clinical time
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Shared evening and weekend coverage
  • Reports to Medical Director

Compensation

  • Physician (MD/DO): $200,000-$250,000 per year, plus benefits
  • Nurse Practitioner: $125,000-$150,000 per year, plus benefits

Required Qualifications for Physician (MD/DO)

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency
  • Board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN
  • Active Massachusetts medical license
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration, as applicable
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Eligible for required hospital credentialing and privileges

Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current Massachusetts NP/APRN licensure and appropriate national board certification
  • Minimum of two years of NP experience preferred/required based on departmental needs
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Eligible for required organizational credentialing and clinical privileges

Preferred Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

  • OB/GYN or women's health experience
