Gss Mn Brainerd Bethany, a not-for-profit long-term care facility in Brainerd, Minnesota, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for part-time night shifts. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, working in a Christian environment committed to quality senior care.
Clinical Setting
This position is based at a long-term care facility serving seniors. You will work as a member of the nursing team, delivering age-appropriate care according to individual resident care plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and undressing
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises
- Assist with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements, and create a positive dining experience
- Support food preparation and dining activities
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens
- Provide psychosocial support and personal care to assigned residents
- Assist nursing staff and providers with procedures as needed
- Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary information
- Communicate residents' changing conditions and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas
- Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation
- Follow all infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use requirements
- Participate in departmental and organizational committees and task forces as needed
Schedule
- Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Part-time, 24 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- Additional weekend incentive of $1.25 per hour
- Additional $1.25 per hour shift incentive for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM
Compensation and Bonuses
- Salary range: $22.60 to $25.50 per hour

Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire date by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
- Maintenance of continuing education credits, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually
- Maintenance of all department-specific required certifications
- When applicable for the state, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
- May require a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license depending on facility requirements and applicable state regulations
- Must be medically qualified to perform essential driving functions if applicable to this position
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
