Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver specialized outpatient care for stem cell transplant patients. This position is part of a leading cancer center that performs more stem cell transplants than almost any other facility in the nation and leads the Southeast in immunotherapy and cellular therapy for cancer treatment.

You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to manage the complex health needs of transplant patients across the continuum of care. This role involves subspecialized care including chronic illness and disease management, with a focus on ensuring continuity of care that may span multiple years.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document comprehensive health histories and perform system-focused or symptom-specific physical examinations
  • Develop assessments and plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Order, perform, interpret, and collect diagnostic data using appropriate assessment techniques and diagnostic procedures
  • Form differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribe pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic, and surgical therapeutic interventions to achieve expected outcomes
  • Utilize evidence-based, approved practice protocols in planning and implementing care
  • Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations
  • Provide specialty-specific consultation services within scope of practice
  • Facilitate patient transitions between and within healthcare settings
  • Manage patients' overall care and identify expected outcomes for diagnoses

Clinical Setting

  • Outpatient position within Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center
  • Work with stem cell transplant patients in an ambulatory setting
  • Part of an eight-hospital, 180+ clinic academic health system

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts (8-hour shifts)
  • No holidays or weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Active Tennessee license as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGACNP, or ACNP) or Physician Assistant
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Physician Assistant certification

Preferred Qualifications
