Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine

Join the Outpatient Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine team at Cooley Dickinson Hospital as a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This position provides comprehensive care for patients with pulmonary and sleep-related conditions at our Florence, Massachusetts location. You will evaluate and manage chronic respiratory diseases, conduct diagnostic sleep testing, and treat a wide range of sleep disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to patient-centered care.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a fixed schedule:

• Monday and Tuesday: 8-hour shifts in Sleep Medicine
• Thursday and Friday: 8-hour shifts in the Lung Nodule Clinic
• Wednesday: 8-hour administrative day

This position does not include call responsibilities, nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to designated patient populations in the ambulatory setting
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations
• Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
• Order medications and write prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures
• Provide high-quality and timely documentation including progress notes, procedure notes, and other clinical records
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant program
• State license as a Physician Assistant
• 3 or more years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Pulmonary and/or Sleep Medicine
