Warrior Vets Medical Services is seeking Nurse Practitioners to provide general medical evaluations to current and former US Military veterans. This is a contract position offering flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Clinical Setting

You will conduct in-person general medical evaluations at your own clinic location. Evaluations are one-time encounters with each veteran, typically lasting 30 to 90 minutes. These are general medical evaluations, not disability evaluations. The evaluations directly impact veterans' access to ongoing care they need.

Schedule

You make your own schedule with flexibility around your availability. The current need is for 25-30 hours per week. Appointments are efficiently scheduled in series, with no more than eight hours of total evaluation time on each working day. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person general medical evaluations for veterans
• Complete evaluations in your user-friendly EMR
• Collaborate with an established physician

Compensation and Payment

Compensation is up to $150 per hour, with payment for each evaluation. Payment is remitted within 45 days of encounter documentation.

Administrative Support

Warrior Vets Medical Services handles all back-office administrative work, including contracting with the Veterans Administration, liaising with contractors, and payment processing. You focus your time on patient care.

Training and Support

A clinical onboarding team of advanced level practitioners provides training on working with the veteran population and offers ongoing clinical support for questions and concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Unrestricted state medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice
• Master's degree from a US-accredited, post-baccalaureate course of study
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or certification by the ANCC or AANP
• Two or more years of post-graduate primary care experience
• Access to a clinic location for this work
• Established collaborating physician
