We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a growing outpatient medical clinic focused on musculoskeletal injury care, orthopedic-style evaluations, imaging review, treatment planning, office-based procedures, and patient follow-ups. This is a part-time W-2 position for approximately 2–3 days per week, primarily in Queens and the Bronx, beginning in November 2026.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a busy outpatient clinic environment evaluating patients with neck, back, shoulder, knee, and other musculoskeletal complaints. You will work closely with orthopedic and interventional pain specialists, coordinating care across orthopedic, interventional pain, physical therapy, and administrative teams.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal injuries and pain complaints
- Perform focused outpatient examinations for neck, back, shoulder, knee, and other orthopedic-style complaints
- Document patient visits clearly and efficiently in the EMR
- Review and order imaging when clinically appropriate, including X-rays and MRIs
- Develop treatment plans that may include medications, physical therapy, imaging, referrals, bracing, durable medical equipment/medical supplies, and follow-up care
- Prescribe medications and medical supplies within the provider's scope of practice and based on clinical necessity
- Coordinate care with orthopedic, interventional pain, physical therapy, and administrative teams
- Perform follow-up visits and monitor patient progress
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation
- Travel between clinic locations as needed
- Perform office-based procedures such as trigger point injections and other office-based musculoskeletal procedures after appropriate training and demonstrated competency
Schedule
This position is expected to include approximately 2–3 clinic days per week, primarily at locations in Queens and the Bronx. Additional clinic days and locations may be added over time depending on patient volume, scheduling needs, and practice growth. You should be comfortable traveling between assigned clinic locations in Queens and the Bronx.
Training and Start Date
The preferred candidate would be able to begin before the regular November 2026 schedule starts. Initial onboarding is expected to include approximately 1–2 weeks of training, which may include:
- Clinic workflow and documentation standards
- EMR training
- Musculoskeletal examination workflow
- Imaging review and treatment-planning expectations
- Medication, DME, and referral workflows
- Office-based procedure training and observation
- Supervised clinical visits before independent scheduling
Office-Based Procedures
This role may include office-based procedures such as trigger point injections and other office-based musculoskeletal procedures. Prior procedural experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. You should have an interest in learning office-based procedures and be willing to complete approved hands-on training if needed. Approved procedural training reimbursement may be available up to $500 after 90 days of active employment and successful completion of an approved course.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York Nurse Practitioner license
- DEA registration preferred or willingness to obtain
- Interest in musculoskeletal medicine, orthopedics, injury care, pain management, or procedural medicine
- Strong documentation skills
- Reliable and professional
- Willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a busy outpatient clinical setting
- Comfortable performing or learning office-based procedures such as trigger point injections
Preferred Qualifications
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification
- DEA registration
- Spanish-speaking ability
- Prior experience in orthopedics, pain management, PM&R, urgent care, ER, primary care, or occupational medicine
- Prior orthopedic, pain management, or injury-care experience
- Prior procedural experience

Compensation
$80–$95 per hour, W-2, based on experience, schedule availability, language skills, documentation efficiency, procedural experience, and clinical background.
