Capital Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Urogyn Practice I team. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week in a progressive healthcare system that includes two hospitals, an outpatient center, satellite emergency department, and an expansive network of primary and specialty care services.
Clinical Setting
You will work within Capital Health Medical Group, which comprises more than 600 physicians and other providers offering primary and specialty care throughout the region. Capital Health is accredited by DNV and is recognized as the region's leader in providing quality patient care with significant investments in advanced technology and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform histories and physical examinations, conduct ongoing patient assessments, and perform critical care procedures as indicated
- Participate in daily patient rounds with physicians and facilitate pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Assist with admission work-ups and consultations to facilitate care across the continuum
- Initiate, monitor, alter, and order treatments including device placement, physical and occupational therapy referrals, home health referrals, and discharge planning
- Re-evaluate patients throughout hospitalization and modify the plan of care as needed in collaboration with clinical staff
- Complete transfer of care notes when transferring patients to another medical service
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to patient age and developmental stage
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated for diagnosis and management of clinical problems
- Complete wound assessments and initiate basic skin care orders
- Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies to assist with medical management; explain the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of treatments and procedures to patients
- Participate in the hospital Quality Improvement process
- Contribute to development and revision of patient care standards and policies to optimize clinical practice
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's degree in advanced clinical practice or graduate of a post-Master's certificate program for nurse practitioner
- Advanced Practice Nurse license in New Jersey
- One year of experience working with primary care management or acute care preferred

Schedule

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $115,689.60 - $163,508.80 annually for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status. Compensation is determined based on factors including location, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, market data, and internal equity.
