Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient urgent care clinic with on-site medical assistants, X-ray technicians, and front desk support. Multiple locations are available in the Denver area, including Leetsdale and City Park, with University Hills opening later this year.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions across diverse patient populations
  • Independently manage patient care within your scope of practice
  • Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education and counseling
  • Perform common urgent care and primary care procedures including laceration repairs, incision and drainage (I&D), ingrown toenail removals, and splinting
  • Interpret X-rays and 12-lead EKGs
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient clinic flow, patient safety, and positive patient experience
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical protocols
  • See 3-4 patients per hour

Schedule

Full-time position, 30-40 hours per week assigned based on clinic needs. You will work a combination of 8-hour primary care shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, including urgent care walk-ins) and 10-12 hour urgent care shifts (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM). A minimum of one weekend shift per week is required. On-call or backup coverage is available on an optional basis; providers self-select available days.

  • DOT certification required within three months of hire date
  • BLS or ACLS certification

New graduates are not eligible. The employer will wait for providers to obtain a Colorado medical license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Primary care and urgent care experience
  • Comfort with high patient volume and weekend or holiday rotation

Credentialing

Credentialing timeline is 3-4 weeks.

Compensation

Base salary of $60 per hour plus a target bonus of $15 per hour and a $10 per hour weekend differential. The target bonus is not capped at 100%; some providers regularly earn over $100 per hour. A guaranteed minimum of 100% bonus is provided for the first three months. Bonuses are tied to a mix of volume (patients seen and charges) and quality metrics (NPS and Google reviews).
