MIT Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care to provide direct patient care to the MIT community. In this role, you will assess patients' health status through interviews and physical examinations, formulate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate follow-up strategies. You will provide health education and supportive counseling while collaborating with other MIT Health providers and services across the MIT community. All work is performed in accordance with MIT Health policies and applicable state and federal regulations and standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to MIT Health patients

  • Formulate diagnoses and synthesize clinical information
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care and treatment
  • Provide health education and supportive counseling
  • Collaborate with other MIT Health providers and services
  • Ensure compliance with MIT Health policies and state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certification or Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider card
  • Massachusetts Board authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Massachusetts Physician Assistant license
  • Valid prescriptive authority from both the Massachusetts Department of Public Health-Division of Controlled Substances and Federal DEA
  • Ability to summarize and communicate moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers

Compensation and Employment

  • Full-time, exempt position
  • Pay range: $125,000 to $150,000 annually
  • Base pay only; does not include additional benefits or compensation
