The opportunity

Job Description

Olympia Orthopaedic Associates seeks an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to support a high-volume total hip and knee replacement practice. In this full-time role, you will provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care, patient education, clinical assessment, and care coordination for patients undergoing total joint replacement surgery. You will work collaboratively with the orthopedic surgeon, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, surgery scheduling, and external healthcare providers to ensure patients are prepared for surgery and receive timely follow-up throughout recovery. This position promotes surgical readiness, patient safety, continuity of care, efficient patient flow, and timely access to orthopedic services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care
  • Perform clinical assessment and patient triage
  • Provide patient education regarding surgery and recovery
  • Coordinate care with the orthopedic surgeon, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff
  • Assess and manage wounds
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate with external healthcare providers for continuity of care
  • Support efficient patient flow and timely access to orthopedic services

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Washington State Nurse Practitioner license
  • Orthopedic clinical experience
  • Wound assessment and wound care experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform clinical triage, coordinate care, and document accurately in an electronic medical record

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 to $175,000 per year
