Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and preventive care in a correctional or institutional healthcare setting. You will work a flexible schedule of 3 days per week on consistent weekdays, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive medical care to patients in this specialized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventive care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Manage an average daily caseload in accordance with facility needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation per facility and state standards
• Perform minor procedures as applicable
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up regarding patient care needs

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family practice, or internal medicine
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior correctional or institutional healthcare experience
• Ability to perform minor procedures
