Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our urgent care clinic. You will work alongside another NP provider in a collaborative 12-hour shift model, supported by a dedicated medical assistant and front office staff. Our clinic features on-site laboratory and radiology services, allowing you to provide comprehensive care without external referrals.

You will see patients across all age groups (2-100 years old) and manage a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Patient volume varies seasonally: approximately 10-15 patients per day during summer months and 15-20 patients per day during winter.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare to patients and families with focus on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and counseling
• Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and prescribe medications
• Perform minor procedures including suturing
• Work under direct physician supervision following established guidelines and scope of practice
• May be required to work at other hospital-owned clinics or the main hospital as needed

Clinical Setting

• Urgent care clinic with on-site laboratory and radiology
• Collaborative practice model with dedicated support staff

Schedule

• 2 days on (12-hour shifts), 2 days off, then 5 days on, repeating
• 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Current FNP licensure with experience in urgent care
• Arizona state license
• PALS certification
• DEA registration
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Comfort evaluating and treating patients across all ages
• Comfort managing chronic diseases
• Experience with Evident EMR system
