Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our urgent care clinic. You will work alongside another NP provider in a collaborative 12-hour shift model, supported by a dedicated medical assistant and front office staff. Our clinic features on-site laboratory and radiology services, allowing you to provide comprehensive care efficiently. Patient volume varies seasonally, with approximately 10-15 patients daily during summer months and 15-20 patients daily during winter.

Clinical Setting

Our urgent care clinic serves patients of all ages (2-100 years old) and manages acute and chronic conditions. You will work as the primary NP provider during your shifts, with physician oversight available as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare to patients and families with focus on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and counseling
• Examine patients and take comprehensive medical histories
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice
• Perform minor suturing procedures
• Work under direct physician supervision following established guidelines and scope of practice
• May be required to work at other hospital-owned clinics or the main hospital as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Family Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona
• Comfort evaluating and treating patients across all age groups (2-100 years old)
• Experience managing chronic diseases
• Current PALS certification
• Current DEA registration
• Current BLS/ACLS certification
• Proficiency with Evident EMR system
• Current experience as an FNP

Schedule

The schedule rotates as follows: 2 days on (12-hour shifts), 2 days off, then 5 days on, and repeat.
