Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide evidence-based urgent and primary care at one of our Southeast Suburbs Illinois locations (Bolingbrook, Tinley Park-Harlem, or Tinley Park-LaGrange). You will serve as a clinical leader within the clinic, evaluating and treating patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries while fostering exceptional patient experiences.
Clinical Setting
Midwest Express Clinic is one of the Midwest's fastest-growing healthcare organizations operating a rapidly expanding network of clinics across Illinois and Indiana. This role is based in the Southeast Suburbs of Illinois and involves working in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nail procedures, injections, DOT physicals, and occupational medicine services
- Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record
Patient Experience
- Deliver compassionate, efficient care while creating a welcoming and reassuring environment
- Communicate clearly regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-up care, and patient education
- Support the clinic's commitment to service excellence by maintaining professionalism and empathy during every patient interaction
- Address patient concerns proactively and contribute to positive patient outcomes and satisfaction
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Serve as a clinical resource for Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, and clinic team members
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support onboarding and development of new clinical staff
- Collaborate effectively with collaborating physicians and operational leaders
Operational Excellence
- Support clinic goals related to patient flow, efficiency, and quality metrics
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and clinical quality programs
- Assist with maintaining regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety standards
- Adapt to varying patient volumes, staffing needs, and clinic locations as business needs require
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana
- Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
- Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience
- Experience performing common urgent care procedures
- DOT Certification or willingness to obtain
Schedule
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Flexibility to support multiple clinic locations
Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $125,000-$130,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
