Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric

Curana Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive mental health care across skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, assisted living, and independent living communities. This role offers the opportunity to deliver personalized psychiatric services to an underserved senior population while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team.

Clinical Setting

You will work across multiple senior living communities including skilled nursing facilities (SNF), long-term care (LTC), assisted living (AL), and independent living (IL) settings. This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within assigned facilities
• Assess and manage the mental health needs of residents, perform physical exams, and gather complete medical histories
• Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, make preliminary diagnoses, and develop effective therapeutic care plans for mental and physical health
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary
• Partner with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive mental health practices
• Work alongside physicians and facility teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly and effectively

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active DEA license
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certification

Travel Requirements

This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Curana Health may in the future determine that a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. If so, you will be provided with thirty (30) days notice of this requirement. Periodic motor vehicle (MVR) checks may be conducted as a condition of, and/or for, continued employment.
