MinuteClinic, the nation's largest retail health care provider, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary and family care in a clinic-based setting. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license with strong clinical support, collaborative resources, and a unified team approach. You will provide evidence-based in-person and virtual care (conducted from the clinic during lower patient volume periods) to patients, families, and communities.

Clinical Setting

This is a clinic-based position with MinuteClinic, which holds American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence designation. As a float provider, you will cover clinic locations throughout Chicago, Evanston, Brookfield, and Oak Park.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide both in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes
  • Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals
  • Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings
  • Order and administer vaccines and injections (COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, Depo-Provera, etc.)
  • Provide holistic, evidence-based care including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices
  • Complete essential clinic operations including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection
  • Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management

Education

  • Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program

Licenses and Certifications

Required Qualifications

  • One year of NP experience preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered
  • Obtain and maintain multi-state licensure based on business needs
  • Physical presence at assigned clinic required
  • Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to perform Basic Life Support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the EPIC electronic health record

Schedule and Compensation

  • Full-time position with 32.5 anticipated weekly hours
  • Flexible scheduling with strong work-life balance
  • Charting and follow-up completed during your scheduled shift—no work taken home
  • Pay range: $46.03 - $99.14 hourly
  • Eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to base pay
