Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to serve as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) delivering direct clinical care to Alaska Native and American Indian patients. In this role, you will manage a panel of patient-owners, provide comprehensive primary care services, and collaborate with clinical staff to establish medical protocols and treatment regimens.

Clinical Setting

SCF serves a primary population of Alaska Native people affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area in Alaska. A thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of this population is essential to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical care to assigned patient panel
  • Manage comprehensive care for patient-owners
  • Work with clinical staff to establish medical protocols and treatment regimens
  • Maintain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska
  • Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • DEA registration
  • BCU Approval
  • ICPA Approval

Additional Certifications as Required

Depending on specialty and scope of practice, the following certifications may be required:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Employee Health Requirements

Compliance with SCF's Employee Health Procedure is a condition of employment. Prior to your first day, you must complete required health screenings and immunizations, including:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • COVID-19 vaccination

Compensation and Incentives

  • Hiring Range: $138,424.00 to $189,176.00
  • Sign-on Bonus

Pursuant to the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, as amended, SCF pursues a policy of Alaska Native/American Indian preference in hiring, contracting, and training.
