Pain Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team in a pain management specialty role. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing care for individuals experiencing acute and chronic pain.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results
- Prescribe medications and other treatments within the scope of practice and applicable regulations
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and pain-management strategies
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record
- Coordinate care with physicians, clinical staff, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers
- Follow organizational policies and all applicable clinical, regulatory, and patient-safety standards
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality-improvement initiatives
- Travel between Pain Care locations as operational needs require
- Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Georgia
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia
- Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one, if required for the position
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient-education skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability and willingness to travel between assigned locations as needed
- Reliable transportation for travel between Pain Care locations

- Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education
- Must be able to satisfy applicable credentialing and background-screening requirements
