Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Urgent Care - Mukwonago - 0.9 FTE

ProHealth Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare in an urgent care setting located in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. You will work in a collaborative practice model with designated physicians, conducting patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in an ambulatory care environment.

This is a 0.9 FTE position working days on the first shift at 240 West Maple Ave, Mukwonago WI 53149.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare to patients in the urgent care setting
• Conduct patient assessments and diagnoses
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with designated physicians
• Work within a collaborative practice agreement as directed by Wisconsin state law
• Maintain effective teamwork within the healthcare environment

Clinical Setting

ProHealth Medical Group operates 15 clinic and urgent care locations throughout Waukesha County, serving the local community with a range of medical specialties including family medicine, internal medicine, allergy, cardiology, dermatology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, pediatrics, and podiatry.

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating NLC state (for Nurse Practitioners)
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners)
• Certification by ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioners, or PA-C certification by NCCPA for Physician Assistants
• Physician Assistant license issued by the state of practice (for Physician Assistants)
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
• AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent certification
• Master's degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners)
• Bachelor's degree (for Physician Assistants)
• Ability to adjust work schedule with ample notification
• Willingness to travel to various clinic sites
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a collaborative practice agreement

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• New graduates are considered if highly qualified
