ProHealth Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare in an urgent care setting located in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. You will work in a collaborative practice model with designated physicians, conducting patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in an ambulatory care environment. This is a 0.6 FTE position working days on the first shift.

Clinical Setting

You will practice at 240 West Maple Ave, Mukwonago WI 53149, one of ProHealth Medical Group's 15 clinic and urgent care locations throughout Waukesha County. The organization operates a diverse range of specialty practices including family medicine, internal medicine, allergy, cardiology, dermatology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, pediatrics, and podiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare to patients through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work collaboratively with designated ProHealth Medical Group physicians
  • Practice independently within a collaborative practice agreement as directed by Wisconsin state law
  • Adjust work schedule with ample notification as needed
  • Travel to various clinic sites within the ProHealth Medical Group network

Required Qualifications

  • Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating NLC state (for Nurse Practitioners)
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners)
  • Certification by ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioners, or PA-C certification by NCCPA for Physician Assistants
  • Physician Assistant license issued by the state of practice (for Physician Assistants)
  • Bachelor's degree for Physician Assistants or Master's degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners

  • AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent certification
  • Effective teamwork skills within the healthcare environment
  • Ability to work independently within a collaborative practice agreement
  • Willingness to travel to various clinic sites
