Mercy Virtual Care Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide virtual primary care services to patients across the Mercy health system. This hybrid position combines remote work with onsite hours at the Chesterfield, Missouri location, offering the opportunity to deliver acute care and primary care services via video visits to patients throughout Mercy's regional network.
Clinical Setting
You will work within Mercy Virtual Primary Care 365, a virtual care platform powered by physicians, advanced practitioners, and engaged support staff. The role involves treating patients of all ages who choose to receive care through video visits for acute complaints and primary care needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct video visits for primary care patients presenting with acute complaints
- Assist with after-hours calls for primary care patients
- Assist with escalations from nursing staff
- Manage in-basket communications
- Complete a minimum of 36 visits per 12-hour shift
- Provide care to patients across all Mercy Primary Care regions
Schedule
- Full-time position: 36 hours per week
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating holidays and weekends
- Night shifts included
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 90 days onsite at the Mercy Virtual Care Center in Chesterfield, Missouri before transitioning to work-from-home arrangements.
Licenses and Certifications
- Missouri license required to start
- Arkansas, Kansas, Illinois, and Oklahoma licenses must be obtained to care for patients across all Mercy regions
Required Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Ability to obtain and maintain licenses in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Illinois, and Oklahoma
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of previous advanced practitioner experience in primary care or urgent care settings
