Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hematology Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Mayo Clinic's Division of Hematology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Outpatient Hematology group practice in Rochester, Minnesota. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to adult patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), ranging from asymptomatic patients on observation to those receiving active therapy, follow-up care, and end-of-life discussions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments for patients with CLL
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and radiologic exams
• Establish diagnoses and provide prognostic interpretation
• Order and manage cutting-edge clinical trial therapy and standard-of-care treatments
• Manage treatment side effects and complications from disease processes
• Work autonomously within a supportive team environment
• Participate in professional growth opportunities including research, quality improvement projects, and leadership development
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor to students and colleagues
• Participate in journal club, poster presentations, and oral presentations

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient hematology setting as part of a comprehensive, collaborative team including other advanced practice providers, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, clinical research coordinators, fellows, and support staff. Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, OR graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Minnesota RN license and certification as FNP, ANP, or ACNP (for NP candidates), OR current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice (for PA candidates)
• Eligibility for DEA registration
• BLS certification
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain professional and compassionate relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
• Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
• Hematology experience

Schedule

• Full-time position (1.0 FTE)
• Monday through Friday
• 72 hours per pay period

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $119,870.40 - $167,273.60 annually (based on 1.0 FTE)
