Join our ENT team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a collaborative outpatient clinic setting. You will work alongside residents, fellows, attending physicians, and staff to provide comprehensive patient care. Under the supervision of the Medical Director or approved staff physician, you will manage primary and urgent medical needs, stabilize critically ill patients, teach residents and medical students, and coordinate discharge planning with nursing staff and discharge coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using approved medical practices
- Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria appropriate to patient populations
- Manage primary and urgent medical care for outpatient clinic patients
- Perform emergency stabilization of critically ill patients
- Teach residents and medical students
- Develop and implement staff education and development programs
- Provide patient and family education
- Coordinate discharge planning with nursing staff and discharge coordinators
- Maintain inquiry toward medical practices and patient care outcomes
- Develop research methodology as appropriate
- Adapt communication and care delivery to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and individual needs
- Remain knowledgeable of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
- Report any known or suspected unethical conduct, patient safety concerns, or compliance issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program
- Active Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
- NCCPA Certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Medical Examiners

- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and role-specific software
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Advanced Practice Provider policies and protocols at department and system levels
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout and between facilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules including 24/7 availability, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties

Individuals who reside in and will work from Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, or Washington D.C. are not eligible for remote work positions.
