The opportunity

Job Description

Atria Health Institute is seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our founding team at our new Los Angeles Institute, launching in late spring 2026. This is a hands-on opportunity to help establish clinical operations for our largest membership-based primary and specialty health care practice, which emphasizes prevention and longevity. You will work closely with Chief Medical Officers to deliver comprehensive, personalized care to our members and their families.

Clinical Setting

Atria provides primary care, advanced screening and diagnostics, urgent care, specialty care, home visits, and imaging all included in members' annual membership fee. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to translating science into medicine while maintaining a strong and inclusive organizational culture.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to identify patients' health status and needs
  • Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with Chief Medical Officers
  • Provide primary and specialty care services, including prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and implementing therapeutic interventions
  • Manage chronic conditions, monitor patients' progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize health outcomes
  • Educate patients and families about health promotion strategies, disease prevention measures, and lifestyle modifications
  • Emphasize preventive care, including immunizations, screenings, and health maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, care coordinators, and external healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Consult with specialists, refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers, and facilitate continuity of care across healthcare settings
  • Perform clinical skills including phlebotomy, IV insertion, administering vaccines, and EKGs
  • Independently manage patients as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to ethical principles and professional standards of practice, maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and respect for patients' rights and dignity
  • Provide continuity of care by participating in home visits on an as-needed basis while the full home service department is being built out in the west coast region

Required Qualifications

  • Current California license as a Nurse Practitioner (specialty) or current California license as a Physician Assistant
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing NP or PA-C
  • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Ability to work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
  • Availability to be flexible with weekend coverage
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • Flexibility required for weekend coverage

Compensation

  • $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on years of experience
