Piedmont OB/GYN seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary health care to patients within established clinical protocols and nursing standards. You will engage in diagnosis and treatment of disease, defects, and injuries, and recommend or prescribe treatments for physical, mental, and functional ailments.
Clinical Setting
You will work at Greenville Memorial Hospital in the Piedmont OB/GYN practice, serving the obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health patient population.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat disease, defects, and injuries
- Recommend and prescribe treatments for relief or cure of physical, mental, and functional ailments
- Complete all charting, summaries, correspondence, and documentation required for patient care and billing
- Participate in physician educational programs related to capitated medicine and practice patterns
- Participate in responding to managed care contract proposals
- Contribute to establishment of quality assurance and utilization management programs
- Participate in selection of management information systems
- Assist in development of patient education services and patient satisfaction surveys
- Support development of operational and capital budgets
- Participate in operational assessments to identify revenue enhancement, expense reduction, consolidation efficiencies, and billing opportunities
- Maintain courteous and cooperative working relationships with management, employees, physicians, patients, guarantors, and the public
- Participate in activities that support the public image of the employer
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent
- Official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner in the state where you will work
- Prescriptive authority for the state where you will work
- Controlled substance license for the state where you will work
- Federal DEA license
