Nurse Practitioner, OBGYN

Cape Cod Hospital's OB/GYN office is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive clinical care to gynecological and obstetrical patients. You will work independently within established policies under the general administrative direction of the Medical Director and supervising physician, evaluating patients and managing both routine and acute care needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual gynecological examinations and provide routine and follow-up care
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecological problems
• Provide care and treatment to obstetrical patients
• Provide and assist with clinical training for onboarding Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwives
• Communicate with office personnel, patients, families, and other hospital departments to ensure high-quality patient care
• Initiate and assist in coordinating consultations with other providers and community agencies
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality; serve as a patient advocate
• Provide patient teaching and health counseling
• Participate in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and programs
• Perform telephone triage, quality assurance tracking, and monitoring of laboratory and diagnostic testing reports as requested
• Assume responsibility for personal continuing education and professional development
• Identify process improvement opportunities and present recommendations to management
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Clinical Setting

Full-time position in an OB/GYN office at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher
• Current licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days if not current; certification offered by employer)
• US Department of Justice and Massachusetts Controlled Substance DEA Registration for prescribing practitioners

Compensation

Annual salary based on full-time employment: $148,778 - $164,116
