Medical Director Services PC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide medical services at a skilled nursing facility in Ocala, FL. This role focuses on delivering quality patient care, managing complex resident populations, and collaborating with the medical team to optimize outcomes while reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and medication burden.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting with experience in treating residents with higher acuity levels, including those on ventilators. The organization emphasizes quality care, effective communication with surrounding hospitals for continuity of care, and evidence-based practices in the SNF environment.
Responsibilities
- Assure delivery of quality care services to all patients in a respectful and professional manner
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining and updating medical histories
- Develop and implement patient management plans to provide continuity of care
- Perform therapeutic procedures including administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, health maintenance, and wellness promotion
- Contribute to physician effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, providing clinical information, and recommending courses of action
- Maintain safe and clean working environments by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education and professional engagement
- Develop healthcare team staff by providing information and educational opportunities
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
