We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a long-term opportunity providing onsite healthcare within an employee health clinic at a distribution center. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to work alongside an established clinical team while providing primary, acute, and occupational healthcare to an adult employee population.
Clinical Setting
You will work in an onsite employee health clinic serving adult employees at a distribution center. The clinic operates with a team including another NP, two RNs, and an LPN. Patient volume is approximately 2 patients per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary and same-day care to adult patients
- Evaluate and treat common illnesses, acute conditions, and minor injuries
- Assess and manage minor work-related injuries and workers' compensation cases within clinic scope
- Perform physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide preventive care, wellness counseling, and patient education
- Determine when patients require specialist, emergency department, or outside-provider referrals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the onsite clinical team
- Follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and employee-health policies
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekends. Long-term coverage with scheduling flexibility available.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Appropriate national NP or PA certification
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to independently evaluate and treat adult patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, urgent care, occupational health, or employee health
- Occupational injury or workers' compensation experience
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
