Medical Director Services PC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to serve as a primary care provider at a skilled nursing facility in Orlando, FL. This role offers the opportunity to work with both long-term and short-term residents in a team-based care environment. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a skilled nursing facility providing comprehensive primary care services to residents with varying levels of acuity. The organization emphasizes quality care, customer service, and treating residents in place when possible to reduce unnecessary hospitalizations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary care provider to long-term and short-term residents
- Assess patients' health by visiting residents, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
- Collaborate with the medical attending physician and nursing home staff to provide high-quality, evidence-based care
- Build relationships with residents and families through education and care planning that aligns with patients' needs and desires
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
- Stay current with professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations while respecting cultural, personal, and religious beliefs
- Review and ensure timely and efficient charting, documentation, and administration of care
