VitalCheck Wellness is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support an onsite employee health and wellness clinic in a professional corporate setting in Midtown Manhattan. This role focuses on preventive services, health screenings, point-of-care testing, wellness education, and evaluation of acute health concerns during the workday—unlike traditional high-volume primary care or urgent care settings.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a corporate healthcare environment serving employees at a professional workplace. The clinic emphasizes preventive health and employee wellness rather than acute care volume.
Responsibilities
- Respond to onsite medical situations involving employees
- Administer vaccines, including flu and COVID, under standing orders and documentation requirements
- Perform point-of-care testing, including COVID, flu, strep, glucose, and cholesterol testing as needed
- Support biometric screenings and preventive health services
- Provide lifestyle coaching related to nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, and long-term wellness
- Recommend appropriate follow-up care or referrals
- Manage patient appointments and clinic workflows
- Maintain onsite medical equipment and supplies
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and related privacy requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted New York Nurse Practitioner license
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or advanced practice nursing program
- Current national board certification appropriate to your specialty
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, or a similar setting
- Knowledge of blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and preventive care
- Comfortable practicing independently within established protocols and scope of practice
- Excellent communication, patient education, documentation, and organizational skills
- Able to work effectively in a professional corporate environment
- Able to reliably commute to Midtown Manhattan
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- No weekends
- No on-call responsibilities
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary: $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
