Job Description

Join CHRISTUS St. Vincent's Neurology team as a Nurse Practitioner providing specialized outpatient care to adult patients (18+) with a wide range of neurological conditions. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a highly skilled, well-established team dedicated to patient-centered care in a supportive clinical environment.

Clinical Setting

CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a community-based, private, not-for-profit health system serving over 300,000 people across 19,000 square miles and seven counties in Northern New Mexico. The Neurology clinic is well-equipped and fully staffed, providing specialized outpatient services to patients ages 18 and older.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and comprehensive neurological examinations
  • Perform medication reconciliation and manage chronic neurological conditions
  • Provide individualized patient and family education according to patients' physical and emotional status
  • Treat a range of neurological conditions including Parkinson's Disease, tremors, tic and Tourette syndrome, Huntington's Disease, ALS, migraine, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, dystonia, spasticity, chronic migraine (including botulinum toxin injections), dementia, and headaches
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse, multidisciplinary team

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a full-time position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
  • 2 or more years of experience in neurology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for providing high-quality care
