Carondelet Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurology team at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. This outpatient-focused role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a busy and growing neurology practice, supporting timely access to care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. You will work collaboratively with neurologists and clinical staff in a team-based environment, managing complex neurological patients in a clinic setting.

Clinical Setting

  • Outpatient neurology clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital
  • Monday through Friday schedule with normal business hours
  • Collaborative team environment with neurologists and clinical staff

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record client health history and perform comprehensive physical assessments including biological, social, and psychological needs
  • Diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate health care for clients with neurological conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for neurological conditions
  • Refer clients to physicians and outside agencies as required
  • Order medications
  • Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures
  • Interpret results of laboratory tests as part of physical examination and health management
  • Conduct health teaching and counseling during physical exams to enable informed patient choices about health and treatment options
  • Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with policy
  • Provide consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff
  • Report to the attending physician any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
  • Participate in patient review conferences and staffing
  • Assist with Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities
  • Fulfill all duties assigned by the physician
  • Adhere to HIPAA Compliance Plan and Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement
  • Support the Corporate Compliance Program by adhering to federal and state laws, regulations, and corporate policies

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
  • Current RNP (Registered Nurse Practitioner) license
  • Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by law, regulation, and state of practice
  • Additional certifications as required by governing board and facility Medical Staff Bylaws
