The opportunity

Job Description

Carondelet Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurohospitalist team in Tucson, Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a busy and growing Neuroscience program, supporting timely access to care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.

Clinical Setting

  • 100% inpatient setting
  • Collaborative, team-based environment with neurologists and clinical staff

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for neurological conditions
  • Obtain and record client health history
  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments including biological, social, and psychological needs
  • Diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty
  • Refer clients to physicians and outside agencies as required
  • Complete all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with policy
  • Report to the attending physician any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
  • Participate in patient review conferences and staffing
  • Assist with Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests as part of physical examination and health management
  • Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures
  • Conduct health teaching and counseling during physical exams, enabling clients to make informed choices about health and treatment options
  • Provide consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff
  • Order medications
  • Fulfill all duties assigned by physician

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
  • Current RNP (Registered Nurse Practitioner) license
  • Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by law, regulation, and state of practice
  • Additional certification(s) as required by governing board and in accordance with facility Medical Staff Bylaws

  • Compliance with Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement
  • Knowledge of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct

  • Timely reporting of compliance issues and concerns
