Carondelet Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurohospitalist team in Tucson, Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a busy and growing Neuroscience program, supporting timely access to care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.
Clinical Setting
- 100% inpatient setting
- Collaborative, team-based environment with neurologists and clinical staff
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans for neurological conditions
- Obtain and record client health history
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments including biological, social, and psychological needs
- Diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty
- Refer clients to physicians and outside agencies as required
- Complete all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with policy
- Report to the attending physician any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
- Participate in patient review conferences and staffing
- Assist with Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities
- Order and interpret laboratory tests as part of physical examination and health management
- Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures
- Conduct health teaching and counseling during physical exams, enabling clients to make informed choices about health and treatment options
- Provide consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff
- Order medications
- Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
- Current RNP (Registered Nurse Practitioner) license
- Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by law, regulation, and state of practice
- Additional certification(s) as required by governing board and in accordance with facility Medical Staff Bylaws
