Nurse Practitioner MSN

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary or acute care clinic setting. You will assess, treat, and manage patients while utilizing advanced assessment and evaluation techniques. You will work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status and health potential, planning and implementing care for patients and families
• Perform history and physical examinations and record clinical data
• Identify normal and abnormal findings and consult with physicians to determine treatment plans
• Plan, manage, and evaluate therapeutic regimens in consultation with physicians and healthcare team members
• Teach and counsel patients regarding health status, illness signs and symptoms, and current care needs
• Assess patient growth and development
• Perform clinical and therapeutic procedures
• Assume a leadership role in developing nursing care policies and procedures for the unit
• Assist with planning and monitoring quality improvement and control activities
• Maintain and document all required education and credentials
• Demonstrate positive customer service and professional relationships with colleagues
• Comply with attendance policies and participate in continuous quality improvement activities
• Perform work in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with departmental scheduling policies, including overtime and on-call situations
• Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) credential
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 1 year of hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Demonstrated competency in obtaining and interpreting patient information
• Knowledge of growth and development
• Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients in the identified age groups

Schedule

• Full-time regular position (1.0 FTE)
• Days shift
• Work schedule includes various shift work, overtime, and on-call situations as needed
