This position offers an opportunity to work as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary and acute care clinic setting. You will assess, treat, and manage patients while utilizing advanced assessment and evaluation techniques. You will work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status and health potential, planning and implementing individualized care for patients and families
- Perform history and physical examinations, recording clinical data accurately
- Identify normal and abnormal findings, consulting with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Plan, manage, and evaluate therapeutic regimens in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members
- Assess patient growth and development
- Perform clinical and therapeutic procedures as appropriate
- Educate and counsel patients regarding their health status, illness signs and symptoms, and current care needs
- Assume a leadership role in developing nursing care policies and procedures for the unit
- Assist with planning and monitoring quality improvement and control activities for the unit
- Maintain and document all required continuing education
- Demonstrate positive customer service and professional relationships with colleagues
- Comply with attendance policies and participate in continuous quality improvement activities
- Perform work in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with departmental scheduling policies, including overtime and on-call situations as needed
- Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures

Schedule
Full-time regular position (1.0 FTE) with day shift assignment. Work schedule includes various shift work and on-call situations as required by departmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) credential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire
- Demonstrated competency in patient assessment, treatment, and care appropriate to the patient population served
- Knowledge of growth and development
- Ability to obtain and interpret patient information in terms of clinical needs
- Understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient population
