Nurse Practitioner, Marshall Medical Centers South, Full Time, 3rd Shift

Marshall Medical Center South is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position on the 3rd shift. You will provide comprehensive direct patient care in a 150-bed hospital setting, serving Marshall County and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform complete physical examinations
• Order and perform diagnostic testing and screening
• Diagnose illness and prescribe pharmacological and other treatments
• Provide health maintenance and promotion interventions including patient and family education and counseling
• Assume accountability for indirect care responsibilities including staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university with completion of Nurse Practitioner program
• Successful completion of a National Certification Exam for Nurse Practitioner
• Current registration through the Alabama Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners
• Approval of the Northwest Alabama Healthcare Authority credentialing board
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
• ACLS and/or PALS certification
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent task prioritization and changes
