Wellpath is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Manager to lead clinical operations and oversee the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in a correctional healthcare setting. This role combines direct patient care with management and supervisory responsibilities, serving an underserved and vulnerable patient population in a mission-driven organization.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a correctional healthcare facility providing comprehensive clinical services to incarcerated individuals. The organization serves hundreds of thousands of unique individuals monthly, with a significant portion receiving direct clinical care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program
- Manage clinical provider scheduling for nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Conduct chronic care clinics and infirmary rounds
- Provide direct patient care and clinical services
- Ensure proper medical documentation and adherence to formulary and treatment guidelines
- Review clinical practices and participate in committees and best practice projects
- Implement and update clinical policies in collaboration with medical and administrative teams
- Coordinate referrals and maintain quality care and compliance standards
- Participate in audits and committee activities as required
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current CPR certification
- Significant experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (not primarily psychiatric)
- Supervisor or lead experience managing other nurse practitioners
- OB/GYN experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience
- Corrections healthcare experience
Schedule
- 1.0 FTE position
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call requirement
