Join our Primary Care - Family Medicine department as a Nurse Practitioner in Henrietta. In this part-time role, you will provide comprehensive medical services to ambulatory patients, working closely with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a primary care environment serving patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians. The role involves direct patient interaction on a frequent, regular, and daily basis with patients, family members, and members of other specialty medical teams.
Responsibilities
- Take complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation
- Perform physical examinations
- Order laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
- Reach tentative diagnoses of medical, surgical, and other conditions
- Develop treatment plans in conjunction with attending physicians to provide optimal patient medical management
- Order consultations and interact with members of other specialty medical teams
- Prescribe medications and write orders
- Perform procedures and respond to emergency and immediate condition changes of acute patients
- Obtain complete, detailed, and accurate patient histories
- Review patient records and record all pertinent data to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis, and clinical treatment plan for all assigned patients
- Assist in the collection of data for research projects

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior

Physical Requirements
This position requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is required. Physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
Compensation
Base pay range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. Eligible for additional pay components.
