Nurse Practitioner - Henrietta Primary Care

Join our Primary Care - Family Medicine department as a Nurse Practitioner in Henrietta. In this part-time role, you will provide comprehensive medical services to ambulatory patients, working closely with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a primary care environment serving patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians. The role involves direct patient interaction on a frequent, regular, and daily basis with patients, family members, and members of other specialty medical teams.

Responsibilities

• Take complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation
• Perform physical examinations
• Order laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
• Reach tentative diagnoses of medical, surgical, and other conditions
• Develop treatment plans in conjunction with attending physicians to provide optimal patient medical management
• Order consultations and interact with members of other specialty medical teams
• Prescribe medications and write orders
• Perform procedures and respond to emergency and immediate condition changes of acute patients
• Obtain complete, detailed, and accurate patient histories
• Review patient records and record all pertinent data to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis, and clinical treatment plan for all assigned patients
• Assist in the collection of data for research projects

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Nurse Practitioner Certification from New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior
• Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused approach

Physical Requirements

This position requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is required. Physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.

Compensation

Base pay range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. Eligible for additional pay components.
