The opportunity

Job Description

AppleGate Recovery, a division of BayMark Health Services, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our opioid use disorder treatment program. This hybrid, part-time position offers flexible scheduling with a requirement to work Tuesdays and Thursdays, totaling 8 hours per pay period. You will provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combined with counseling and behavioral services to patients seeking recovery from opioid and prescription medication addiction across our clinic locations in Jackson, Camden, Nashville, and Dixon, Tennessee.

Clinical Setting

AppleGate Recovery operates multiple outpatient clinic sites providing evidence-based opioid use disorder treatment and rehabilitation. The clinical environment combines medication-assisted treatment with comprehensive counseling and behavioral health services in a patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of various substances of abuse, the disease of addiction, and signs and symptoms of detoxification
  • Collect and record comprehensive patient data including complete history of present illness, assessment, and plan in an accurate and systematic manner
  • Counsel patients and help them understand their limitations and abilities
  • Document patient progress and regression according to established policies and procedures during appointments or upon notification of status changes from clinical coordinators or treatment center directors
  • Supervise and instruct patients in oral medication self-administration and provide health education as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of program policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of addiction medicine and MAT experience
  • Drug rehabilitation training

Schedule

  • Flexible hours with required availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • 8 hours per pay period
